OLD TOWN FIRST SCHOOL AND NURSERY

The modern contrasting extension to this Victorian building gives Old Town First School a greater presence on the main street and contributes to the Civic nature of the building, making this an important part of the townscape. The £2.5 million extension has provided the school with additional teaching areas, new hall, library and ICT suite, office accommodation together with a nursery and Sure Start children's centre. Extensive enabling works were undertaken prior to the main project getting underway which also included landscaping of the play areas.
